Laishley Park

Laishley Park is an ADA-accessible and pet-friendly park that encompasses seventeen (17) acres with amenities that include a 400-foot fishing pier, accessible parking facilities and restrooms, interactive fountain, concert area, and event lawn, Veterans Memorial Garden with Gazebo and 1/2 size Vietnam Memorial Wall, and easily accessible paved walking paths along Punta Gorda Pathways - Harborwalk. Next to the park is the Laishley Crab House, an art gallery, hand-crafted ice cream shop, and more.

Gilchrist Park

Gilchrist Park contains 11 acres stretched along the waterfront between the downtown and Fishermen's Village, providing sweeping views of the Charlotte Harbor. Park amenities include a large playground; basketball, tennis and pickleball courts; fishing pier, gazebo, picnic pavilions, and lots of open green space. Also located within the park is the Bayfront Center operated by the YMCA of Charlotte County. This waterfront facility hosts YMCA programs including a sailing center, and is available for event rental.

Charlotte Harbor Preserve State Park

Visitors can take advantage of opportunities to hike, fish, paddle and observe wildlife in the park's many natural communities, including mangrove forests, marshes, scrub habitats and pine flatwoods. Most of the park is shallow water fringed by mangroves, providing amazing opportunities to view wading birds, manatees, dolphins and other wildlife.

Punta Gorda Nature Park

The Punta Gorda Nature Park is a twenty-one (21) acre park situated in the center of Punta Gorda Isles neighborhood. The park includes pine palmetto forest and salt/high marsh habitats which include a multi-use recreational trail and observation deck. The remainder of the park is disturbed upland areas which present opportunities for the development of a variety of outdoor recreational activities. Staff works with a volunteer group to maintain and enhance the park for educational outdoor classroom training and nature lectures.

Cedar Point Environmental Park at Charlotte Harbor Environmental Center

Cedar Point Environmental Park is a 115-acre Charlotte County park across from Lemon Bay High School that borders Ainger Creek, Oyster Creek and Lemon Bay. Three hiking trails lead directly to Lemon Bay. Trail maps are available at the Visitors' Center. Its five miles of trails include an ADA-accessible section and traverse pine flat woods, marshes, and coastal hammocks while leading to the waters of Lemon Bay, a Florida aquatic preserve. The park is home to many plants and animals including the American bald eagle, gopher tortoise, bobcat and great horned owl. Environmental programs are conducted regularly to educate visitors about the beauty of southwest Florida.

Ponce De Leon Park

Located on the western edge of the City at 3400 Ponce de Leon Parkway, Ponce de Leon Park overlooks the vast expanse of Charlotte Harbor. The parks amenities include a boat ramp, fishing piers, mangrove boardwalk, small playground, open air chapel area, and picnic pavilion. The park also has a sandy beach area that is popular for watching the sunset and the boats cruising in and out of the channel into Punta Gorda Isles canal system. Home to Peace River Wildlife Center.
